Booking & Return Policies

At Loop Art & Photo Space we try to keep things simple, fair, and human.

Most of what we sell is film, photographic materials, and experiences; things that involve a little bit of unpredictability and a lot of creativity.

If something goes wrong, we’ll always do our best to help. The notes below simply explain how things usually work.

Returns & Change of Mind

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

Film, darkroom materials, and photographic supplies are sensitive to storage conditions and handling, so once they leave the shop we can’t guarantee their condition.

If you’re unsure about a product before purchasing, we’re always happy to help you choose the right thing.

Faulty or Damaged Items

Most of the products we sell (film especially) don’t really have traditional “faults,” but occasionally something can go wrong during shipping.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

We may ask you to return the item so we can inspect it. Once received, we’ll either:

  • Replace the item, or
  • Issue store credit
  • depending on the situation.

Film Processing & Scanning

Film photography is part science, part craft.

Our developing and scanning is done carefully and by hand, to the highest standard we can provide. Because of this, small variations can occasionally occur in development or scans.

Blank Rolls

If a roll of film is developed correctly but contains no images, unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or credits.

This most commonly happens when film has not been exposed in the camera, and since we price our processing as reasonably as possible, we’re unable to refund in these situations.

Lab Errors

If an issue occurs due to a clear lab error, we will work with you to make it right. Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • A refund for the processing
  • Store credit
  • Re-processing where possible

Workshops & Classes Booking

Workshop and class tickets are final and non-refundable.

However, we understand that life happens.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your booking up to 7 days before the workshop.

A maximum of one reschedule is allowed per booking. After that, additional rescheduling may incur a fee.

In some situations, we may allow rescheduling at our discretion.

If Loop Needs to Cancel

On the rare occasion that we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop, you will be offered:

  • A full refund, or
  • A rescheduled booking.

Gift Cards

Gift cards and workshop vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase, in line with Australian regulations.

They are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.

A Quick Note

Loop runs at a slightly slower pace than most businesses. We care deeply about doing things well rather than quickly, and we believe photography works best when it’s approached with patience.

If something feels off or confusing, just reach out. We’re always happy to talk things through.
