Studio Lighting
Workshop
This studio lighting workshop is designed for photographers who want to stop guessing and start creating with clarity and confidence. Whether you’ve never fired a flash in your life, or you’ve tried once and walked away muttering, “Not for me,” this is where it starts to click.
Learn to light. Learn to direct. Learn to be seen.
4 hours | Max 6 students
You’ve probably said it before:
“I just don’t get studio lighting.”
“I want control over my portraits, but artificial light feels… fake.”
“I’d love to make more intentional work, but where the hell do I start?”
Right. That’s why you’re here.

What You'll Learn
You’ll spend a full afternoon learning the foundational principles of light – how it behaves, how to shape it, and how to use one or two flash heads to build the kind of portraits you’ve been imagining but didn’t know how to make.
What light is actually doing and how to work with it, not against it
How to use one or two lights to create depth, drama, or softness
Basic modifiers and setups for solo portraits
How to direct with clarity, calm, and care
The importance of tone, communication, and reading the room
What it feels like to be photographed and why that matters more than you think
But here’s the twist most people won’t expect:
You’ll be on both sides of the lens.
Because if you want to make people feel comfortable in front of your camera, you need to know how it feels to be in that position. And if that makes you nervous? Great. That means you’re about to grow.
Who's this for?
If you have a digital camera with full manual controls, you’re ready.
You might be just starting out or you might have been shooting for years and avoiding artificial light like the plague. Either way, this is your low-pressure, high-reward opportunity to shift the way you shoot (and think).
If you’re the kind of person who learns best by doing and wants to come away not just with new knowledge but a new experience, this is yours.
Important Notes:
This is a gentle, inclusive, real-human kind of day. You don’t need to look perfect, act perfect, or know what you’re doing. Come exactly as you are.
You will be photographed. That’s part of the deal. It’s how we learn.
You’ll also make portraits of others that may be shares online (non-commercial use only).
- Studio lights provided. You bring your camera, a charged battery, and an open mind.

Spots are extremely limited - only 6 per workshop.
So now you’re probably wondering:
“Should I book this?”
The fact you’re even asking probably means you’ve already made the decision.
You’re just waiting for permission. So here it is:
Book the spot.
Change the way you light forever.
