How to book a photography Lesson

Loop Art & Photo Space runs photography workshops and classes from our studio in Olinda, in the Dandenong Ranges just outside Melbourne. Our courses are designed to be small, personal, and welcoming — whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or exploring film photography more deeply.

Unlike many photography schools in Melbourne, many of our workshops are designed to run at flexible times rather than fixed schedules. This allows us to organise classes that work around your life, rather than asking you to fit into a crowded calendar. Sometimes that even means you’ll end up with a private session if no one else books.

Photography Workshop FAQs

When are the photography classes & workshops?

This is the question we get the most.

Many of our classes don’t run on fixed dates. Instead, they’re designed to run at a time that suits you.

If a class listing does not show a specific date, the process is simple:

  • Purchase the class ticket
  • We’ll reach out to organise the perfect time
  • Or you can contact us first to check availability

This approach gives you much more flexibility than traditional scheduled classes. Rather than trying to squeeze into a pre-set calendar, we simply find a time that works for both of us.

Sometimes classes do have fixed dates. If that’s the case, the date will be clearly listed on the ticket and that’s when the workshop runs.

Our workshops are designed primarily as small, personal learning experiences.

If only one person books a class… well, congratulations, you’ve just scored a very affordable private lesson.

We don’t require minimum class sizes, so workshops will run even with a single participant.

Workshop tickets are non-refundable. However, life happens.

You may reschedule your workshop up to 7 days before the booking. A maximum of one reschedule is allowed per ticket. Additional changes may incur a small fee

In some situations we may allow rescheduling at our discretion

No-Shows

If you do not attend your workshop and haven’t contacted us beforehand, the booking is considered used and no refund or reschedule will be offered.

On the rare occasion that we need to change a workshop date, you’ll be offered either:

  • A full refund, or
  • A new booking time
