Female film photography? Yes Please!

Mark your calendars, photography lovers: on Friday, January 3rd, Loop Art & Photo Space in Olinda will host the highly anticipated launch of Her.exposure Issue 03. This isn’t just a magazine release; it’s a celebration of female film photography, artistic heritage, and the stories that connect us all.

Her.exposure, a magazine dedicated to female film photographers, steps into its third issue with the theme of “Roots.” This edition features the evocative work of 15 photographers and one artist, each exploring the intricacies of identity, heritage, and connection. The result? A breathtaking collection of images and words that delve into what shapes us—our ancestral ties, personal journeys, and the communities that anchor us.

Visitors to the launch will enjoy an intimate exhibition of selected works from the magazine, offering a visual feast of photographs that tell deeply personal yet universally resonant stories. Guests can also meet some of the featured contributors during casual meet-and-greet moments and a short speech about the inspiration behind “Roots.”

This all-ages event takes place from 5 pm to 8 pm at Loop Art & Photo Space, a hub for creative souls. While alcohol won’t be served, ETCH Sparkling will be available at the bar alongside snacks to keep the vibe convivial and welcoming.

Whether you’re a collector, a creative, or simply someone looking for inspiration, the Her.exposure launch is your chance to celebrate women behind the lens and their unique perspectives. From the nostalgic hum of film cameras to the stories etched in every frame, this is an invitation to reflect on where we come from and what binds us.
